In Orange County, legal cannabis retailers have been designated as essential businesses. Thanks to our local leaders, People’s has been allowed to remain open to serve our community during this time.

We are deeply committed to wellness, and keeping you safe and healthy is always at the top of our mind. Since the pandemic began, People’s California has been implementing new steps to ensure our shopping environment is as safe as possible:

SOCIAL DISTANCING AT PEOPLE’S

During peak hours, we will limit guests to ensure that everyone has enough space to safely distance. We recognize that this may be inconvenient at times, and we thank you for your patience. For those in a hurry, we will continue to offer Express Pickup preorders, as well as free cannabis delivery. We have increased our delivery staff to provide cannabis to those who would prefer to receive their products at home.

For everyone’s safety, we have rearranged the layout of the downstairs area. We have ensured that kiosks are spaced apart and removed experiential displays in order to limit common surfaces. We have also placed markers on both floors to control the flow of traffic in the store. Following the markers helps keep everybody safe.

To limit contact between guests and guides, we are encouraging kiosk ordering. Our in-store displays have our full menu of products and are sanitized continuously for your safety. Our friendly cannabis Guides are still happy to help. If you need assistance, ask a team member, and they’ll take good care of you! All People’s staff members are wearing navy blue shirts.

ORDERING CANNABIS FROM HOME

To accommodate those who would prefer to stay at home, we have scaled up our order fulfillment team and are offering free delivery to most of Orange County.

For those who live outside of our delivery range or would prefer to come into the store, we are also offering an Express Pickup option. People’s guests can order online ahead of time and pick up their products downstairs, which helps keep everyone socially-distanced.

KEEPING IT CLEAN AT PEOPLE’S

In addition to proper mask use, our staff is also required to maintain good hygiene practices, which include frequent hand washing and sanitizing. We have hand sanitizer available throughout our store, and we encourage all guests to sanitize before touching common surfaces.

Our store is sanitized every night. Additionally, we have an expanded cleaning staff to continuously sanitize and disinfect frequently-touched objects. All high-traffic areas and common surfaces are routinely disinfected and sanitized.

Our large, open retail format ensures that we have good airflow throughout the store. While we are indoors, our high ceilings and open-concept design allows for better air circulation for each guest.

For more safety, we have also installed Needle Point Bipolar Ionizers (NPBI) in our HVAC system, which scrub the air at all hours of the day to help mitigate exposure to COVID-19. NPBI technology is proven to kill bacteria and viruses within 30 minutes. Unlike other ionizers, these are safe in indoor spaces and do not produce ozone.

PPE AT PEOPLE’S

We require all People’s team members to wear masks while they’re on the floor or working with product, and we ask that our guests do, too. We have free disposable masks and fabric masks available for sale in our store for those who were not able to bring one. MEDICALLY-VULNERABLE AND SENIOR SHOPPING HOURS AT PEOPLE’S

We are excited to announce our new initiative—Senior Shopping Hours, which are also available to people who are vulnerable and have high-risk health conditions. From 8 to 9 A.M. daily, we are inviting seniors and otherwise at-risk people in the community to shop with us. The reduced traffic at this time will help us best serve these guests.

For those with additional concerns, we completely understand, and we encourage you to check out our cannabis delivery option. Our order minimum is $50, and we charge no delivery fee—that’s right, free delivery! This service is available in most of Orange County.

For those who are located outside of our delivery range, we would encourage you to try out our Express Pickup program. Ordering Express Pickup will allow you to interact with fewer people in our store, which helps keep everyone safe.
